While the present crop of Samsung Connected Refrigerators are not cheap, this is simply because they are still considered cutting edge. In the next year or two I except that lower priced models will start to flood the market.  Once prices drop then I would expect internet refrigerator reviews to start recommending them to more consumers, and that growth in this technology will start to take off!

If you but a soccer cleat from their adidas f50 line you will find that it is compatible with something called miCoach, a tiny device that once inserted into the sole of the adidas f50 can measure all kinds of stats about your on field performance and then deliver them right to your iPhone.

Used by the likes of Barcelona and Argentina’s Lionel Messi (who is sponsored by adidas) the miCoach can measure your speed, heart rate, time on the pitch and a number of other functions. The idea is that you then keep track of all of these using the free iPhone app (although there is also a PC/Mac version as well) and use the information to train harder and better.

Soccer technology like this is not particularly cheap – the adidas F50 miCoach bundles runs between $150 and $200 depending upon which adidas F50 shoe you choose. However that is a lot cheaper than hiring a personal trainer, one of the reasons that the adidas F50 and miCoach combination is selling very well.

Although you won’t find any mention of the project on Mozilla’s website, Mozilla is working with Eudora to improve the Thunderbird email programme. The development is called Penelope and the end result is a much enhanced package compared to the bog standard Thunderbird offering. Eudora used to sell its own email programme but now works exclusively with Mozilla and the marriage has been very successful.

I have several shops on the Internet, the main one selling gifts with the customer’s family crest, but others selling personalised bone china – mainly plates to commemorate a baby’s birth, Christening, a wedding anniversary or any other special occasion. When it gets busy I appreciate Thunderbird’s ability to separate out the orders from the various shops. In the run up to Christmas the family crests shop has been particularly busy for understandable reasons and having an ‘intelligent’ email package to handle all the orders has been a real boon.
